Why your institution should make Visual Arts an important part of your curriculum?

Just like swimming, gymnastics and music, visual arts should be another area to tap into since kids may have a hidden talent but without the environment and push to fully explore it from young they may be unaware.Individuals underestimate the benefits art can have on children since it  promotes creativity, encourages neutral connections, increase self confidence,  builds motor skills, develops problem solving abilities, just the act of scribbling is a precursor to writing, it also helps them to understand themselves and their world and it also encourages them to connect with each other when doing it collectively as a group. Art is also a form of therapy and has the ability to calm an individual. My experience in teaching art has revealed art prodogies among us whose work is worth highlighting to the public one of the many reasons for hosting Kids Art Exhibitions.  

 With this programme , we will come to you at your institution providing all art  materials which  includes paints, brushes, colour pencils, crayons, pastels and any other necessary art supplies needed for the classes. This art programme  will be focusing on the works of famous artists, colour theory ,  elements, principles of art, all the various techniques etc. and incorporating it in the lessons so children can use it to create their own master pieces. Furthermore, kids will also learn various aspect of Trinidad and Tobago culture, historical sites, places of interest to name a few through their art work and at the same time be able to think freely when creating their own pieces. The kids will also have the opportunity to explore the world for example,  from visiting the Sahara desert in Africa by painting animal silhouttes at sunset to exploring Mexico recreating the Mayan pyramids.In some cases, creating pieces using  storytelling will be used in the lessons to make it more interesting. As one can see, this programme will be using  the ingredients of  History, Geography, Science, Mathematics and Reading  combined with alot of fun to create beautiful art works. Maybe engaging the kids in mural work around your compound,  decorating its walls with beautiful art can also be an option. At the end of the term, your institution will have the opportunity to allow your kids to partake in our Kids Art exhibition which is an effort to continue to motivate the kids to continue creating and to show them that what they do matters.
